Fictional

My youth pastor was asking if I was coming for the movie name Friday. I said maybe but I would leave by 10pm. And his wife asked why. I told them I would be at books-a-million for a pre-release party and Robin asked which book. And I said, Breaking Dawn!!! which is a vampire book. My mom then says... A sexy vampire.

Jay then went on to start saying oh, well its a vampire, that is a demonic creature, blah blah blah, and all the other crap about stuff like that.

Its FICTIONAL!

I told them, well, C.S. Lewis wrote The Magician's Nephew, and The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe...

I don't understand why some Christians have a problems with books like Harry Potter and Twilight. I mean, Disney has magic. Just look at Micky Mouse. Cinderella has a fairy godmother. Pocahontas does a form of an Native American religion. All these Disney movies have magic and they don't want to burn these movies or books. C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia are considered a Christian book and it talks of magicians and witches and magic.

But whatever. I will continue to read and watch whatever I want.

You're Leaving?!?!?!!!!

So I told Torrie, my bad child, I was leaving in a couple weeks, because she made the remark, "you're a mean teacher! You're not my teacher anymore!" Only because I told her to stop being bad. So I responded, "Well, I won't be your teacher too much longer"

Thus begun the crying... from Torrie and Jada. And they were mad at me.

"I am not talking to you anymore!"
"You said you were going to stay here forever" (I did? When did I say that?)
"I don't love you anymore"
"We are not going to listen to you anymore"
"I am just going to go down the hallway and leave!"
"You are a mean teacher"
"We don't love her anymore, do we Jada? Right?"

Yes, this is what I got told by a 4 year old and a 5 year old... Torrie tried to slap me because she was mad at me...

I then reminded Jada that she was going to be leaving soon too for Kindergarten. She then started crying more...

"I don't want to go to Kindergarten, I want to stay here with you forever!" She then started telling me all the things she was scared about her new school. This child is really scared to go to kindergarten.

Reasons: there may be no bathroom. there are no naps. what if her new clothes are too big. what if she forgets the teachers name. what if the kids don't like her. what if she calls the teacher one of the kids names. what if nobody will play with her...

Great. I am going to have to listen to this for the next two weeks.

The First One!

I have a xanga, which I will probably continue to write on but I also thought I would try this just to see how it is, and if it is better... a couple people have said it is... we will see.

Here's a small introduction about myself:

I attend Flagler College in St. Augustine. I love it! It is truly amazing and just everything about it makes me really happy. I love being an elementary education major. I am learning so much. My minor youth ministry is great too! I am learning so much more about God. My dream is to go to different countries and teach and be in the mission field, but it is only if God calls me to this. First, I am focusing on graduating in December 2010 and maybe getting married when I find the right guy.. (I think I may have, but again, in God's time)

I love other cultures and I want to travel everywhere! I want to see everything God has created. I want to learn different languages, see different cultures, dress in different clothing, try new food. I love India, but I also really want to go to Italy, Spain, Greece, Israel, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

I love to read, take pictures, and scrapbook! I can be really creative at times if I put my mind to it.

Currently I am working at a daycare... I have some pretty crazy kids, but I love them. They are 4 and 5 years old. They don't listen and they sometimes fight. But they can also be sweet and loving. I wish they were more the latter.

Anyways, this is me.... and its just the beginning of this blog...
